Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, has made his mark on the Bitcoin network through a unique digital art collection called “Elvis Side $Btc.” This collection consists of 1,935 generative images minted by Royalty, a Bitcoin-focused intellectual property project, in collaboration with OrdinalsBot, an inscription service.

Inspired by the artwork of Joe Petruccio, an artist licensed by the Elvis Presley Estate, the “Elvis Side $Btc” collection brings a new dimension to digital art by being inscribed onto individual satoshis, the smallest unit of Bitcoin. This process, made possible by the Ordinals protocol, gives each image a unique value similar to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum network.

OrdinalsBot, the platform responsible for minting these inscriptions, has played a significant role in the Bitcoin development sector by inscribing some of the largest files on the network. These inscriptions, known as “four meggers,” are highly valued and can be compared to acquiring a billboard in Times Square due to their visibility within the Bitcoin network.

Royalty plans to allocate 5% of the revenue generated from primary and secondary sales of the “Elvis Side $Btc” collection to the Elvis Legacy Council. This decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) will govern the future of Elvis Presley’s digital legacy through the use of a native token, as outlined in an upcoming litepaper by Royalty.

The collaboration between Royalty, OrdinalsBot, and the Elvis Legacy Council demonstrates the innovative potential of combining art, technology, and blockchain. By immortalizing Elvis Presley’s legacy on the Bitcoin network, this project opens up new possibilities for digital art and cultural preservation in the digital age.

As the cryptocurrency industry continues to evolve, projects like the “Elvis Side $Btc” collection highlight the creative and transformative power of blockchain technology. By leveraging the unique features of Bitcoin and NFTs, artists and creators can explore new ways to connect with audiences and preserve cultural heritage in innovative ways.
