0ACCIDNTES aims to develop a comprehensive cognitive ecosystem for real-time prediction of dangerous situations
VALENCIA, 5 Dec. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The 0ACCIDNTES project, funded by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) through the CIEN Strategic Program, will use Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, virtual sensors and cybersecurity to achieve accident-free construction.
The objective is to develop a comprehensive cognitive ecosystem for real-time monitoring and prediction of dangerous situations for the safety and health of construction workers, thanks to the application of next-generation sensors, autonomous robotic systems, cyber-secure connectivity ecosystems and various elements of artificial intelligence, as reported by the Aimplas technology center in a statement.
The project consortium is formed by FCC Construction, Becsa, Fractalia, Metálicas Plásticas Jar, Alisys, IDP, Lis Data and Signe, with the collaboration of the technological centers Aimplas, Itainnova, and Cetim, of the Spanish Construction Technology Platform ( PTEC) and Incotec as an external R D i consultant.
Together, the research will address predictive artificial intelligence models for the early detection of fatigue, intelligent PPE, artificial vision systems for risk detection, virtual air quality sensors, shared situational awareness of machines and people, digital identity of operators and digital security passport, as well as reliable and secure connectivity (5G) scenarios.
The different 4.0 technologies applied to the occupational risk prevention sector in construction will allow the collection, interpretation, digitalization and intelligent and automatic management of information generated in different construction environments.
For example, Meplasjar, specialized in the manufacture of personal protective equipment (PPE), will collaborate in the design and production of a smart protective helmet. The technology companies Signe, Lis Data and Asisys will work on the generation of hybrid identities, autonomous exploration and information collection in confined or difficult-to-access environments. Fractalia and IDP will design the cognitive digital twin and the comprehensive platform for occupational health and safety.
For their part, the research organizations involved in the project, including Aimplas, will focus on predicting dangers and risks in construction environments through different artificial intelligence techniques and on developing an entire comprehensive sensor system that allows the relevant information to be collected. in a work environment.
The different prototypes will be validated through simulations carried out in controlled construction environments, which allow the identification of weaknesses and limitations of the developments carried out, as well as their solution. The environments chosen to validate the prototypes will be both linear works, such as tunnels and/or roads, as well as vertical works, such as buildings.
