Gamarra frames the NNGG banner on Tito Berni in the 8M demonstration within freedom of expression

MADRID, 9 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has indicated this Thursday that she would have liked Pedro Sánchez to have thanked them for the support of the Popular Group for taking into consideration the socialist reform of the ‘only yes is yes’ law and has placed in the “desperation” that the President of the Government mentioned in Congress the photograph of Alberto Núñez Feijóo with the drug trafficker Marcial Dorado.

“A little gratitude would not have been bad”, Gamarra has made ugly in statements to Antena 3, collected by Europa Press, in which he has indicated that the PP’s support for this reform is to show “responsibility” and defend women Spanish.

For the ‘number two’ of the PP, it is important that the sexual freedom law be modified “as soon as possible”, in order to avoid that “sex offenders who are currently committing crimes cannot benefit” from a rule “that It should never have come to pass as it has.”

Gamarra has urged Sánchez to demonstrate “a little more level” in favor of “political coexistence”, which is “what the Spanish expect and demand”, he stressed. “But hey, I think it’s the symbol of the Prime Minister’s nervousness about the polls,” he said next.

In addition, he has described as “desperation” that Sánchez alluded to the photo of the PP leader with Dorado. “The desperation in looking for or trying to use anything to wear down, but it will not find us there”, he has added.

And regarding the absence of the president during the vote on the reform, he regretted that he did not appear when it is a law that came out of the Council of Ministers: “The least he should have done is show his face in Congress, apologize to the victims ” and offer “humility and sensitivity” with his presence and raising “political responsibilities”, such as the resignation or dismissal of the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero. “Of course he should have voted, he is looking to not be absolutely responsible for anything,” she criticized.

The general secretary of the PP has explained that yesterday she did not participate in any demonstration for March 8 because she had other things on her agenda, but that the deputy secretary for Social Policies, Carmen Navarro, and party deputies and senators did attend.

“This 8M is not the one we like in the PP, because we have seen how everything has ended in division and confrontation in society” due to the discrepancies within the Government, he has denounced, at the same time that he has blamed it to Sanchez. For this reason, she has expressed that from the PP they aspire to “a different 8M”, since there are many problems to be solved for women.

And regarding the banner displayed by Nuevas Generaciones (NNGG) at the demonstration in Madrid with the slogan ‘Let Tito Berni vote for you’, which caused tension and prompted the Police to separate them from the march, the leader has assured that it falls within the freedom of expression.

“It is part of the freedom of expression of those who attend a demonstration and decide to carry a slogan, that or another. Just as others are respected, that should also be respected. Each one identifies with what he says and carries,” he said. sustained.

On the other hand, he has demanded that the Government seek social and political dialogue with the parity law proposal, which he sees for now as a “high degree of immaturity.” Having said this, she recalled that the initiative responds to the transposition of a European directive that the PP supported to increase the presence of women in all areas.

Gamarra has also ruled on the case of alleged corruption that affects the former socialist deputy from the Canary Islands Juan Bernardo Fuentes, alias ‘Tito Berni’, assuring that he should also be investigated by the European Union in case there had been a misuse of European funds.

And he has called on Congress to investigate the ‘Mediator’ plot through a commission of inquiry, in the same way – he has compared – that the European Parliament has done with ‘Qatargate’, the alleged payment of bribes to members of the European Parliament on the part of this Gulf country.

“If the PSOE has nothing to hide, it should allow the Commission”, since “the honor of the Chamber has been stained and deserves a reaction from Congress itself”, he has demanded.

Likewise, he has assured that the PP will support any group that wants to open a commission on ‘Mediator’, after United We Can indicate that it would only support one if the initiative started from the PSOE, its government partner.
