MADRID, 2 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, considers that the Government is “overwhelmed”, believes that it has lost the Legislature and sees necessary plans to boost growth and contain inflation.

This was stated today on his account on the social network Twitter, in which he has written a note in which he states that “after a lost Legislature”, Spain has positioned itself as the last economy in the European Union to recover the GDP of the pre-pandemic.

For this reason, it has considered that it is “essential” to implement plans to boost growth, contain inflation, ensure pensions and reduce debt. “In the face of an overwhelmed government, solutions”, has riveted the leader of the PP, who also collects the images of the press conference that the economic manager of the PP, Juan Bravo, gave this afternoon.

Thus, he points out that the PP project includes taxation for employment, growth and investment; the simplification of bureaucratic obstacles; the reduction of superfluous political spending; economic growth and job creation.

During today’s press conference, the deputy secretary for the ‘popular’ Economy announced that his party rules out voting against the government’s new package of anti-crisis measures and is now debating whether to opt for yes or abstention. In this sense, he explained that many of the measures are part of those proposed by the PP, but he considers them a short and incomplete “copy” and criticizes that they are mixed with others “impossible to vote for.”

Juan Bravo has also referred to the new addendum to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), presented by the Government at the end of the month. The popular has criticized the “mismanagement” of European funds, especially when Spain is “the second country with the most aid from the European Union.”

The opposition makes the Government ugly because of the lack of information to the autonomous communities and, also, that they have extended the deadlines for compliance with the milestones included in the PRTR and committed to Brussels. “It is impossible for them to continue,” he pointed out, referring to the Executive.
