King Felipe VI spoke this Sunday with the Prime Minister of Peru, Alberto Otárola, during his attendance at the inauguration ceremony of the Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in the country’s capital, Brasilia.

The ‘premier”s office has indicated that Otárola and the Peruvian Foreign Minister, Ana Gervasi, have discussed “issues of common interest to both countries,” as published in a message through the official account on the social network Twitter .

Otárola has led the Peruvian delegation that has participated in the inauguration of Lula da Silva, held in Brasilia this Sunday, representing the constitutional president, Dina Boluarte.

“We have come to express and ratify the ties of union and solidarity between the Government of all Peruvians and the Brazilian Government,” he declared, emphasizing the economic ties of both countries, according to a statement.

In addition, the Peruvian Prime Minister has highlighted that the delegation representing his country is explaining in Brazil the political process that Peru is undergoing.

“We seek to open a new stage, a stage of reconciliation, of understanding on the international front,” he said, aiming to build ties of brotherhood with other countries, “especially in the sphere of the Americas.”

Likewise, Otárola has had a meeting with the president of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeier, “to whom he has expressed the greetings of the head of state.”
