MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The former leader of Vox Macarena Olona is preparing to launch her new platform in Madrid, which she has announced will focus on the need to strengthen ties between Spain and Latin America and the defense of “real” equality between men and women, without gender politics.
This Monday, Olona has published a video on social networks focused on this rejection of gender policies. The spot reproduces a speech that she gave in the Congress of Deputies in June 2020 during the debate on a PSOE motion on gender violence.
In it, the then general secretary of the Vox parliamentary group in Congress proclaimed that “violence has no gender.” “The man does not rape, he rapes a rapist; the man does not kill, he kills a murderer; the man does not mistreat, he mistreats an abuser”, she proclaimed then she.
The video intercuts between the images of his speech in the plenary session of the Lower House with images of men and women and also includes the television presenter Jorge Javier Vázquez in a ‘scuffle’ that he had with the collaborator and former councilor Olvido Hormigos. “Don’t grab me like that,” she told him.
“Everything started here – says Olona in reference to his speech in Congress -. You will decide when it ends. Countdown to the presentation”. Two weeks ago he already opened a headquarters in Panama from which, he said, deepen relations between Spain and Latin America.
Since his departure from Vox, Olona has left the door open to his return to politics, although he says that at the moment his platform does not have this intention and will decide his next steps based on the result that Vox obtains in the municipal and regional elections this month of May.
