He maintains that the negotiation is “broken” because the popular leader has not withstood the pressure of the most extreme right
MADRID, 28 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, charged this Friday against the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, pointing out that he is no longer a valid interlocutor, because they have “doubled his pulse”, and not has autonomy to lead the PP.
Bolaños has launched these accusations the day after the PP suspended the negotiations for the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary due to the Government’s intention to reform the crime of sedition to favor the independentistas, according to the ‘popular’ in a statement .
For the minister, the negotiation is “broken” because Feijóo has not withstood the pressure and they have “doubled his pulse”, “those who “rule the PP”, as he has indicated, so “they have gotten away with it” those who tried to “torpedo” this pact from the beginning, as he has pointed out.
“What has happened is quite easy to understand, the agreement was made, it was ready and it was to be signed, but there has been enormous pressure from the most extreme right, which from the first moment has wanted to break that agreement,” he maintained. .
Without specifying who he is referring to, Bolaños has indicated that those who exert these pressures do not mind breaching the Constitution and that they have managed to break the leader of the PP, who “since yesterday has lost all his credit as the leader of a moderate, European, pactist party and constitutional,” he launched. In addition, he has indicated that with this break begins “the definitive decline” of Feijóo.
On the other hand, when asked if he committed to the PP not to undertake the reform of the crime of sedition, as the popular indicate in their statement, Bolaños replied that they have said “the same thing, in public and in private” for a long time. years and that there has been “no news” in this regard in recent weeks and months.
Thus, he stated that the Government wants Spanish legislation “to be adapted to European legislation when there is a parliamentary majority.” In this sense, he has accused the PP of changing its mind at the last minute because, as he has indicated, in recent days from Genoa they have unlinked the CGPJ negotiation “to any other type of legal reform.”
“That disassociation is public, PP leaders have said it, however they have changed their minds, because they double their pulse and they can’t stand the pressure,” he reiterated.
