MADRID, 18 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The secretary general of the Socialist Group in Congress, Isaura Leal, defended this Tuesday the “recognized prestige” of José Félix Tezanos to preside over the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) and has framed her criticism of the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, in an “exercise of freedom”.
At an informative breakfast held in Madrid, Tezanos has considered the ‘Feijóo effect’ in the polls to be over, alleging that people have seen that they have made “mistakes” and that citizens think that they do not have “the necessary knowledge” to lead. Those words have been criticized by opposition groups, who see a lack of neutrality.
For the spokeswoman for the Popular Group, Cuca Gamarra, the CIS cannot have a “hooligan” of Pedro Sánchez in the Presidency, and has affirmed that “nobody is capable of endorsing” the institute’s surveys since Tezanos presides over it.
At a press conference in Congress, Isaura Leal stressed that Tezanos is “a professional of recognized prestige” and with “a very long professional career, recognized even by those who criticize him”.
In his opinion, the statements that Tezanos can make are situated in “the exercise of his freedom”, and in any case those comments “do not interfere at all with the quality of his work”, at the head of the CIS.
