MADRID, 5 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The governor of the Ukrainian region of Lugansk, Sergiy Haidai, has assured that “the unemployment has begun” of this province, one of the four whose annexation has been promulgated this Wednesday by the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and potential scene of a new escalation of the fighting.

Haidai has reported on his Telegram account the “liberation” of several locations, without going into details, and the start of reconstruction tasks in these areas. The governor has urged the population not to return until it is completely safe, according to the UNIAN agency.

In Bilogorivka, one of the enclaves that are now in the hands of the Ukrainian forces, the distribution of humanitarian aid has already begun, while in other areas, such as Kreminna, the priority is to locate and remove anti-personnel mines placed by Russian troops. .

The advances on Lugansk join others in the east and south of Ukraine in recent weeks, the result of a counteroffensive ordered by the president, Volodimir Zelensky, and which has led the Russian forces to withdraw. Moscow has recognized setbacks, but has defended that they are of a technical nature and do not correspond to military defeats.
