The Junts executive will ask the militancy in the internal consultation if they want Junts to continue being part of the Govern, according to sources familiar with Europa Press, in a telematic vote that will take place on Thursday and Friday of this week.

“Do you want Junts to continue being part of the Government of Catalonia?” It is the question that they will ask their bases and that they have agreed on at an executive meeting this Monday, which began at 11 a.m. and has already ended, and that they will present publicly at 5:30 p.m.

The question will allow the militants to answer ‘yes’, ‘no’ or to vote blank, with which they will be able to convey a “clear” position on the situation, the aforementioned sources have assured.

All this after a meeting of the Junts executive that took place after midnight from Sunday to Monday, the deadline they set to explore a negotiation with the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, which ran out without any agreement between the partners of the Govern.

The Catalan president rejected the latest proposal put forward by Junts to remake the crisis of the Catalan Executive, which no longer included the condition of reinstating Jordi Puigneró as vice president.

The crisis in the Catalan Executive has also accentuated the debate within Junts about whether or not they should continue in the Government, and this has been evidenced in the meeting on Monday.

While those close to the president of the party, Laura Borràs, and the former president of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont, press to leave the Government, the supporters of the general secretary, Jordi Turull, press to stay.

The ministers of Junts also want to remain in the Catalan Executive, something that Jaume Giró and Victòria Alsina have publicly expressed, who this Monday announced that she has become a member of Junts “with the unequivocal message of the necessary permanence of Junts in the Govern “to move towards independence.
