He believes that the Executive spends 50% of his time trying not to move his chair and the other 50, not going to more crises with the partners
MÁLAGA, 17 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, has criticized that the Government of Spain “is on vacation” this summer and “without the homework done” in matters such as the energy crisis or inflation; questions for which “the Spanish are having a hard time and the Government, collecting”.
Thus, Bendodo has said that “the course has not gone well for Spain and for the Government of Spain”, and in these cases, “in the summer you cannot go on vacation, or you go to an academy or you start studying” , has added, criticizing that President Pedro Sánchez and his ministers “are now dedicated to opposing everyone” and not to governing for the Spanish.
“It has to be very difficult to govern; we understand Sánchez”, the ‘popular’ has snapped, who has indicated that the government ministers, “two soccer teams”, are “in a permanent derby, fighting each other”, and ” If you dedicate 50% of your time to trying not to move your chair and the other 50 to not escalate the internal crises of your government partners, you don’t have time to govern for the Spanish. reality of what is happening,” he lamented.
In this way, he has indicated that Spain is in an energy and economic crisis in which the Spaniards “are not stupid and we have to tell them the truth”, alluding to the fact that “the Government wants to blame Putin for all the ills”, but “Inflation in Spain before the war was 7.6% and, therefore, we would already be doing something wrong”.
In the case of the energy crisis, Bendodo criticized the fact that Spain “is again late and wrong” because “all the countries of the European Union are taking measures in the medium and long term, except us”, he said, alluding to the possibility of opening and prolonging the useful life of nuclear power plants — “which Europe already considers to be green energy”–, and which the Government rejects “due to ideological prejudices”.
“The government’s strategy is for us to be hot in summer, cold in winter, to take off our ties and turn off the shop windows. This is not serious,” he pointed out, noting that European countries are taking this crisis “very seriousness, because it is a very serious issue”, and Spain, “going against the current” with statements by the Minister of Science, Diana Morant, who “has come to say that nuclear energy is a populist hoax”.
Given this, the general coordinator of the PP has said that the Spaniards “do not like the occurrences of the Government at all”, asking him “that the government dedicates itself to managing instead of being focused on attacking the opposition. Well, they will fear something, and is that the Spaniards see Feijóo as the only hope that our country has of recovering the path that it should never have lost”, he added in this regard.
In this line, Bendodo has also considered the Government “guilty of inflation”, criticizing that “it has rejected all the proposals of the PP”. Thus, he recalled that the party has presented up to five State pacts to address these and other “essential” issues to which the Government “has not responded because it cannot reach agreements with the PP because its government partners prevent it. “. Given this, he has said that “Spain cannot be held hostage by those who want to break up Spain.”
Elías Bendodo recalled that the Spanish “are 10.8% poorer, while the Government has increased its tax collection”, which it has set at “16,500 million euros more than it had planned”. “Where do these come from?” asked the ‘popular’, criticizing that “prices go up, taxes go up and they collect more, and families have a bad time”.
Thus, he has stated that from the PP they are committed to applying “common sense” against inflation: “If they take money from people due to inflation, return it to the Spaniards. You cannot make money at the expense of the poverty of the Spaniards “, snapped Bendodo.
Finally, he has taken stock of the four years of the Sánchez government, which he has summarized in “24 tax increases and 39 ministers; nonsense.” With all this, he has indicated that from his party they see “unfair and harmful that while the Government is lying down to the bartola these holidays, the Spanish are having a bad time and the Government continues to collect”, he has concluded.
