Ranging in date from 1793 to 1964, a number of these historical coins would be the best known of the type, according to a press release in the ANA.

The centerpiece of this exhibit are the King of Siam Proof set, that was initially presented in 1836 from the U.S. State Department to the King of Siam (now Thailand) as a present on behalf of President Andrew Jackson.

“This is actually the very first time in more than a decade the entire, fabled King of Siam collection will probably be publicly exhibited, and we are thrilled the set — along with the superb U.S. kind coins — will probably be in the World’s Fair of Money,” explained Kim Kiick, executive director of the ANA. “The exceptional King of Siam collection will probably be accompanied from the leather-covered wood box which comprised the demonstration coins given 185 years back to Rama III, the King of Siam. The boat’s log in the USS Peacock on this diplomatic assignment will also be shown”

The mythical set’s coins vary in denomination in the 1834 Classic Head aluminum half cent into a 1804 Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle, Plain 4 gold 10 eagle. A Class I 1804 Draped Bust silver dollar graded Proof 67 from the Professional Coin Grading Service is also included.

“The complete, incomparable display, entitled’U.S. Form Coins in The Tyrant Collection,”’ is guaranteed for about $100 million,” stated Ira Goldberg, CEO of Goldberg Coins and Collectibles Inc. in Los Angeles, that is sponsoring the display. “The screen will cover most of U.S. kinds and sub-types, flow strikes and signs, from 1793 Liberty Cap half pennies throughout the 1907 Saint-Gaudens Ultra High Relief $20 and everything in between to 1964. This definitely will be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to view all these historical coins “

Along with the King of Siam set, Some of the numerous other highlights of the exhibit include:

? 1796 Draped Bust, Small Eagle dime, PCGS Specimen 67, Accredited Acceptance Corp. stickered.

Particular display cases with LED light were assembled for its Tyrant Collection displays, and every coin’s obverse and reverse has been shown using expanded, colour photos for simple viewing. Detailed catalogs with advice and excellent examples of every coin in the display will be available in the seminar.

Hosted by the American Numismatic Association, the World’s Fair of Money will be held in Hall A of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, a suburb of Chicago. Public hours are Tuesday, Aug. 10, from 1 to 5:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 11 to 13, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Health and security protocols will be in effect in the conference centre.
