Viestad’re absolutely right in that this is not good enough. The teacher is the single factor in school, and in the highest degree affecting children and young people’s coping and learning. It is well documented from research that students learn more when teachers have a major in the subject they teach.

Precisely why has the government focused a lot on continuing education and training of teachers. The number who have been offered continuing education in the period 2014-2019 is about 34.000. To fall will almost 5800 get such offers. There have already been a significant lift. Years, making this school better.
