foreign students wishing to stay in Quebec beyond December 31, 2020 to complete a program of study or undertake another in the fall session of 2020 will have to submit a new application for a CAQ and a new application for a study permit from the federal government. “It is advisable to start the immigration process required at least three months before the expiry date of permissions of current studies”, adds the ministry.
