MADRID, 10 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The first vice president of the Government and acting Minister of Economy, Nadia Calviño, has conveyed a message of “calm and confidence” to the leaders of the G20 Summit regarding the situation in Spain and has assured them that the next Government will be led by Pedro Sánchez.

Calviño explained, in a press conference within the framework of the Summit in New Delhi, in India, that the leaders have asked her about the formation of a Government in Spain, to which she has shared her “confidence” that the president in office and leader of the PSOE can continue with his “progressive agenda, of harmony and coexistence”.

Specifically, he has stated that the country is waiting for the investiture session to which the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who “seems that he is not going to have the necessary support”, is presented, so then, has pointed out, the PSOE will “get going to try to form a Government.”

With this, he wanted to guarantee international partners the “continuity” of a Spanish policy that has “reinforced the country’s role in all European and international forums.”

Calviño has also indicated that the G20 leaders have asked about the state of health of Sánchez, who has not attended the Summit for testing positive for Covid-19. “Everyone has asked me about President Sánchez in a tremendously affectionate way, they have given me their memories and they have given me the best wishes for him,” he detailed.
