MADRID, 23 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The fintech Ebury, majority controlled by Banco Santander, has decided to appoint Luis Merino as general director for Spain, as reported in a statement.

Merino thus replaces Duarte Lebanon Monterio in the position, whose responsibilities were not only those of general director of Spain, but also of other countries in Southern Europe. Lebanon now becomes Ebury’s global business director, with the aim of leading the strategy.

The new general director has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He has been at Ebury since 2015, where he has held different positions of responsibility, the last of which was Head of Sales for Spain.

“The challenge now is to continue promoting even more the company’s capillarity in the Spanish productive fabric with new products and services that help them successfully address the challenge of their positioning in international markets,” explains Merino.

The ‘fintech’ has also decided to appoint Fernando Pérez Carrizosa as head of Treasury for Southern Europe. Until now, his responsibilities in that area were limited to Spain.

“My goal will be, from now on, to be able to build an even stronger project, always prioritizing the dedication and customer service that characterize us,” indicated Pérez Carrizosa.
