MADRID, 21 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

French President Emmanuel Macron has reported that his country will send a special flight to deliver emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

“As soon as possible, we will charter a special flight that will transport emergency humanitarian aid for the Palestinians,” he said in a post on his account on the social network X, formerly Twitter.

In the same message he added that this means that they will accompany “the efforts made by Egypt, with the support of the United States, thanks to the opening of the Rafah crossing.”

This Thursday, the Presidency of Egypt confirmed that it had agreed to open the Rafah border crossing, the only crossing into the Gaza Strip that is not controlled by Israel, to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population.

For his part, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, announced this Friday that he had the “commitment” of the authorities of Israel and Egypt to open the Rafah border crossing within a maximum period of 48 hours.
