The high temperatures will activate the warnings in 9 CC.AA this Wednesday, which will be extreme (in red) in Andalusia, Murcia and the Valencian Community, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) on a day marked by significantly high temperatures in the southeastern half of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, especially in the southeastern third of the peninsula.
Specifically, the red warnings (extreme risk) will be activated in the provinces of Malaga and Alicante, where it is expected to reach 42ºC in the central hours of the day, while in Murcia the thermometers will mark 44ºC.
To a lesser extent, the heat will also affect Almería, Córdoba, Jaén, Seville, Valencia, Lérida, Albacete and Mallorca, with orange warnings (significant risk) for temperatures close to 40ºC, except in the Andalusian provinces and in the province from Valencia, where 42ºC will be reached.
On this day, the provinces of Huesca, Teruel, Zaragoza, Madrid, Ibiza and Formentera, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Toledo, Barcelona, ??Gerona, Tarragona, Badajoz, Cáceres and Castellón will also be on yellow alert (risk) due to heat.
In general, this Wednesday the AEMET forecasts cloudy skies in the Cantabrian Sea, with a probability of light rain. Some cloudy intervals are also expected at the beginning in Galicia, northern Castilla y León, Navarra and La Rioja.
However, the skies will be slightly cloudy or clear in the rest of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, although with some cloudiness of daytime evolution in the interior of the eastern third of the peninsula, with a small probability of some generally weak showers or storms. In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals in the north of the islands, and little cloudiness in the south.
Temperatures will drop, especially during the day, in the center and more notably in the north and northeast of the peninsula. The values ??will rise in the peninsular Mediterranean area, with few changes in the rest.
The winds will be from the north in the northern third of the peninsula, north of the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. Of western component in the rest, except in areas of Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands, where they will be of variable direction.
