MADRID, 19 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Nearly 430,000 people who requested to vote by mail for the general elections have not yet deposited their vote when the term ends this Thursday, July 20, sources from Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) have informed Europa Prees with data from the morning of this Wednesday.

Specifically, from the union they specify that to date approximately 2.19 million votes have been deposited by mail, of the more than 2.6 million requests to cast this type of vote for these 23J elections.

Of course, in the last 24 hours there have been close to 400,000 applicants for the postal vote who have deposited their vote at the Post Office, according to the data provided by the union throughout yesterday and today.

Voters who requested voting by mail have until this Thursday, July 20 –although the Post Office does not rule out extending it– to deposit their vote at any post office of the public company.

Likewise, Correos has informed that at the close of Tuesday, it had hand-delivered a total of 2.3 million electoral documents to applicants for voting by mail, which represents 89.3%, while the rest of the voters have not been located up to two times at the indicated address and can be picked up at postal service offices.

In other words, according to these data provided this Wednesday morning, there are about 280,000 people who still have the electoral documentation at the Post Office, who can pick it up throughout today, and even tomorrow in some cases.
