– Campari organizes an unforgettable launch party at the Cannes Film Festival: The Campari Cinémathèque in Hyde Beach by Campari

CANNES, France, May 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The iconic red bitters brand hosted The Campari Cinémathèque at Hyde Beach by Campari, on the Boulevard de Croisette. This red carpet party celebrated Campari’s third consecutive year as an Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival, and marked the launch of its global campaign, We Are Cinema.

The event was inspired by the brand’s new campaign, which focuses on real-life moments that become extraordinary stories. On this unforgettable evening, Campari took on the role of curator, Hyde Beach took on the set, and the guests and famous faces were the protagonists of their own story.

At Hyde Beach by Campari – located on the famous beach and in the heart of the iconic film festival – a spectacular event space has been created customized for the 77th edition of the Festival and designed in Campari’s signature style.

The star-studded guest list celebrating with Campari included Adrien Brody, Victoria Justice, Marina Barbosa, Paz Vega, Cole Walliser, Ellen von Unwerth, Caro Daur, Rafa Kalimann, Jessica Wang, Nataly Osmann, Lady Victoria Harvey, Pierfrancesco Favino, Claudia Gerini, Saul Nanni, Malika Ayane and many more. Also present were Cole Walliser, who captured the guests with his famous GLAMbot, and famous photographer German Larkin.

The Campari Cinémathèque event was structured as a series of shots – special shots, photo opportunities and activations – designed to immerse guests in a real cinematic experience.

The shot-by-shot journey took guests throughout the space, from the ground-floor Campari Bar, with its mirrored ceiling and cinema lights, to the Pier, a pier with loungers and umbrellas.

Shot 1 recreated a walk along the red carpet at a film premiere. A lighting installation mimicked the flashes of a crowd of paparazzi, and surround sound played the cacophony of camera clicks and calls for poses. The guests were filmed by a real cameraman and the images were broadcast live on plasma screens spread throughout the space.

Shot 2 consisted of a photocall at the Campari Bar to drink the famous Negroni or the Campari Spritz.

Take 3 placed the guests on a real set, reproducing the experience of starring in an iconic Campari campaign.

Toma 4 immersed guests in the unique sensory world of the Campari Room. Here, human bartender meets AI, as guests are served a freshly made Negroni while creating their own extraordinary Campari story.

In Shot 5 guests stepped into the role of directors, watching the Cannes action live on a dazzling bank of plasma screens on the Director’s Wall.

Shot 6 is the Campari Cinema. Guests took to the stage on a 360-degree terrace, where they were precisely filmed by a robotic Bolt camera against the stunning backdrop of the Croisette and the Mediterranean Sea.

In Take 7, bartenders from four of the best bars in the world created signature Campari cocktails in moments of mixology that will undoubtedly be pure theater. The participating bars are Camparino in Galleria from Milan, Bar Nouveau from Paris, Salmon Guru from Madrid and Donovan from London. The Camparino team served guests a selection of iconic Campari cocktails, including the Negroni, Campari Spritz and Negroni Sbagliato. Alongside these classic cocktails, the Camparino team served the Red Carpet – Cannes Edition: a salty, fresh-tasting cocktail inspired by the Cannes Riviera.

In the Final Shot, the moment that started the party. The lights went down, the cameras started rolling and the music started… A night to remember.

Julka Villa, Global Marketing Director of the Campari Group, commented: “Unveiling our passion for brilliant cinematic storytellers at the iconic Cannes Film Festival is a privilege.
