LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA, 21 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Maritime Rescue and the Civil Guard have intercepted two new canoes this Saturday morning that were transporting a total of 219 irregular migrants in the waters of El Hierro and Tenerife.

According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes), 112 people were traveling on the first irregular vessel and were transported to the La Restinga Dock (El Hierro).

Meanwhile, the second canoe was intercepted in the waters of Tenerife with 98 migrants, who were transferred to the Los Cristianos Pier.

These boats join others that were rescued with 32 migrants late this Friday afternoon in Gran Canaria and with 160 last morning in El Hierro.
