MADRID, 21 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Palace of Versailles was evacuated at 11:50 a.m. this Saturday, marking the sixth incident of this type that has occurred in recent days.
“Visitors to the Palace of Versailles have been evacuated for security reasons. It will reopen once the relevant checks are carried out. We appreciate your understanding,” the palace account on X, formerly Twitter, has published.
A police spokesperson quoted by French television BFMTV has confirmed that the evacuation is due to a bomb threat against these facilities.
About 15,000 people a day visit the Palace of Versailles, former seat of the French monarchy.
