They will take the opportunity to present the program for the elections, based on the rights of the primary sector and the protection of borders

MADRID, 17 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Vox is holding the Europa Viva 24 convention this weekend in Madrid, an event that will bring together party leaders, officials, members and sympathizers with relevant figures from its political space, such as Javier Milei or Marinne Le Pen, who will support the party to mark the start of the pre-campaign for the elections to the European Parliament on June 9.

With the convention, which will be held at the Vistalegre Palace, Vox aims to stimulate its voter base and potential electorate with a demonstration of its international alliances, which also include Víctor Orban, Giorgia Meloni or Mateusz Morawiecki.

Vox has been inclined to make this ‘Europeanized’ version of its traditional annual festival, Viva Vox, precisely because of the proximity of the elections to the European Parliament, since it traditionally holds its event around October. Along these lines, and following the spirit of Viva Vox, the group wants the event to be a meeting point for Spanish citizens, and to this end it has prepared family activities and activities to carry out with children.

Europa Viva 24 will start this Friday with the presentation of the top ten Vox candidates for the European elections, in which Santiago Abascal and the first three on the list, Jorge Buxadé, Hermann Tertsch and Juan Carlos Girauta, will participate. In the afternoon, Vox has organized a meeting for young people under 30 that includes dinner and a party with a DJ.

The convention will continue on Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m., with panels and debate tables organized by the Disenso Foundation, the Vox think tank that is responsible for weaving and maintaining the international relations and alliances of Santiago Abascal’s party.

Topics such as ‘Freedom in the face of cancel culture’, ‘Media and political power’, ‘Voices of freedom against the criminal left’ or ‘The future of Europe’ will be addressed, with the participation of experts and journalists, among others. .

In the afternoon session, starting at 4:30 p.m., a series of round tables will be held organized by the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), to which Vox is affiliated in the European Parliament. To close the day, ECR will present a manifesto.

The highlight of Europa Viva 24 will come on Sunday, with the speeches of Abascal and members of the candidacy for the European Parliament, who will take advantage of the day to present their program for the elections. Vox anticipates that it will be based on the defense of the sovereignty of European nations, the rights of workers in the primary sector and the protection of borders, among other aspects.

Afterwards, it will be the turn of the international guests, with Milei at the helm. Milei’s agenda in Spain includes the presentation of her book in the newspaper ‘La Razón’, meetings with executives of Spanish companies and a private meeting with Abascal.

Along with him and Le Pen, Morawiecki, Meloni and Orban, the former president of Chile José Antonio Kast, the Israeli Minister of Fight against Anti-Semitism, Amijail Chikli, and the leader of the Portuguese Chega, André Ventura, will participate.
