The Mint’s online catalog now lists individual listings for both the 1-ounce and 2-ounce sizes. Those interested in buying one or both of the 1-ounce medals can sign up to receive notifications when they become available.
When they went on sale, July 13th and Aug 17th, the Coast Guard 2.5-ounce.999 silver medals were $160 each.
Each 2.5-ounce medal was limited to 10,000 pieces.
According to the Mint’s October 10 sales reports, 9,931 units of the 2.5-ounce Air Force Medal were sold and 9,878 units of Coast Guard Medal were purchased.
The 1-ounce versions will have a Matte Finish.
