Make it clear that the formula of supporting governments from outside “has ended” and Vox will demand the same in Andalusia as in Castilla y León

MADRID, 24 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has predicted a great result for his party in Andalusia on Tuesday and has pointed out the figure of the 26 seats, the same ones that the PP obtained in the last elections and that allowed Juan Manuel Moreno to be invested president of the Board.

Vox has decided to turn to the elections on June 19, as Abascal explained in an interview on EsRadio, collected by Europa Press, and for this reason he has not only opted for his program and “the strength” of his acronym, but also has opted for “the best candidate”, proposing Macarena Olona as ‘number one’.

With this team, he has claimed to have “data” indicating that Vox could obtain the same number of deputies that Juan Manuel Moreno achieved in the December 2018 elections and that allowed him to govern (26 seats). For this reason, he has recommended to the ‘popular’ that they “admit reality as soon as possible” and stop “patrimonializing” the votes or fabulating with the idea of ??governing alone.

In fact, he has made it clear that the formula of supporting PP governments from the outside “has ended” and Vox will act in Andalusia just as it did in Castilla y León, demanding its entry into the regional government if its votes are necessary for the investiture .

“It is easier for me to admit reality than the PP. We are going up and the PP is going down,” he pointed out, accusing the ‘popular’ of having “wasted” the absolute majority that he had so much in the Congress of the Deputies as in many autonomies.

In his opinion, the PP would recover votes “if it defended some things that it has stopped defending.” And he has given the example of the controversy over nationalities, accusing Alberto Núñez Feijóo’s party of having “a problem” and not being “clear” about the idea of ??a nation, which also prevents it from being able to “defend” concepts such as equality, borders or the national interest for the exploration of natural resources.

Abascal believes that the PP has decided to focus on the economy and set aside what it considers “sterile debates”, but has warned that it is not “sterile” to fight “the ideological legislation of the left”, to claim energy sovereignty, borders or repeal of the laws of historical memory. “Everything seems sterile to them except talking about the economy and presenting themselves to citizens as gentlemen who balance public accounts,” he criticized.

Faced with this, he has warned that some of the first measures of Vox if it reaches the Government of Andalusia will follow that line. In the first place, he has defended that the health authorities transmit to the security forces the data of the people who are illegally in Andalusia and who have a health card, which the leader of Vox has estimated at 30,000.

It is an agreement for Andalusian health to put in the hands of the Police the data “of the illegals” to “proceed with the expulsion of these people”, a pact that has been recalled that it was already sealed with the PP after the last elections and it has not been fulfilled.

He then underlined the need to reduce public spending, a measure that he believes has been “clearly insufficient” during the PP and Ciudadanos legislature, and has defended the repeal of the “leftist legislation” on gender and historical memory .

In fact, he has advanced that Vox’s objective if it reaches the Moncloa Palace will be to repeal “everything the left has done.” “Repeal in 15 minutes everything that the left has done with Pedro Sánchez and (José Luis Rodríguez) Zapatero”, he has confirmed.

In his opinion, the only objective should be to expel the PSOE from the Government and he has encouraged the PP to also have it clear. “With the PSOE infinite distance, there is no need to give them any oxygen ball or reach any agreement to renew the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) or anything,” he warned the ‘popular’.

With this, he has recognized that he has not yet had a meeting with Feijóo after his election as the new leader of the PP and, although “there is no rush”, he believes that “it would be good”. “With Pedro Sánchez battle until the end, until he leaves, and then to rebuild the country”, he explained.

In fact, he has suggested the possibility that Sánchez may not run for re-election in the next general election. “He will do what is best for Pedro Sánchez – he predicted -. Narcissism will be behind his decision and a defeat will not want to experience it in the first person”.

Abascal believes that “what helps the most” for Vox’s rise is the “authenticity and clarity” of his message, making it clear “what he intends to do, the agreements he is willing to reach and with whom.”

And in the face of this, he has criticized that the PP has “put itself in profile” in the recent controversy over the registration of Macarena Olona in Granada or that Moreno says that he wants to govern alone, a tactic that he has recalled that “it did not work” for the ‘popular’ in Castilla y León. “The negotiation there was very simple and Andalusia are not going to cause any surprises, we are going to do exactly the same”, he confirmed.

In the rest of the autonomies, he has pointed out the option that many of the candidates leave the parliamentary group in Congress, which he has described as “a pool of political leadership.” Now, he has anticipated that Olona’s march to Andalusia will cause some changes in the parliamentary group that will make some of these deputies visible.
