MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has warned the Popular Party that any agreement with the Government for the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) “legitimizes” the “dirty maneuvers” of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to ” whitewash” the coup and “assault the institutions”.
“Any agreement in the CGPJ with the Government legitimizes Sánchez’s dirty maneuvers to whitewash the coup and assault the institutions,” Abascal warned in a comment on Twitter as a “warning to sailors in troubled waters.”
For this reason, he insists on his “infinite distance” with whom he describes as “the butlers of the enemies of Spain”, insisting on his refusal of any agreement with the coalition government of PSOE and United We Can.
This same Tuesday, the Vox spokesman in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, has warned that a reform of the crime of sedition that implies the reduction of sentences or their direct elimination sends the message to the independentistas that “it can be repeat” what happened in 2017, alluding to the consultation in October of that year.
For this reason, he has criticized the intention of the ‘popular’ to isolate the negotiation for the CGPJ renewal of a reduction in the penalties for the crime of sedition. In his opinion, the PSOE “is not the best partner”, but “the PP insists on continuing to agree with the devil”.
“With these (in reference to the PSOE, United We Can and the PNV) are the ones that the PP wants to malnegotiate” the renewal of the CGPJ, Espinosa de los Monteros lamented, something that he sees as “absolutely incomprehensible.”
