MADRID, 3 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The police reinforcement of the Ministry of the Interior ordered before Christmas leaves a balance in four weeks of 298 detainees, the seizure of 2,053 bladed weapons and 356 dangerous objects, including four firearms, as well as the implementation of 758 inspections to venues and public shows.

Specifically, more than 70,000 Police and Civil Guard anti-violence devices have been deployed to combat, among other things, the problems derived from violent youth gangs and drug use in leisure areas, according to the balance of the Ministry of the Interior with data between on November 22 and December 20.

The measures are part of the operational reinforcement of various anti-violence plans agreed in the order issued by the Secretary of State for Security on November 21, and which will be maintained until January 31.

Police action also includes 4,320 meetings with heads of public and private institutions, as well as 1,080 meetings with heads of local police forces, private security and Local Security Boards.

In the area of ??road safety, preventive controls for alcohol and drug use were carried out on 111,904 people. In the framework of the surveillance of places of leisure, 758 inspections of premises and public shows were also carried out in the same period.

The operational reinforcement affects four security plans, including coordination against violent youth groups. Last May, given the escalation of events related to violence between gangs, the Ministry issued two instructions with new criteria for monitoring the possession of white weapons and for the better detection of calls for violent actions from forums and social networks.

The order in force also affects the strategic plan against drug consumption and retail trafficking in leisure areas, places and venues, the master plan for coexistence and improvement of security in educational centers and their surroundings and the action protocol of the State Security Forces and Corps regarding the control of bladed weapons and other dangerous instruments for citizen security.
