More than 11,000 people participate in its initiative ‘Seas como Seas’

MADRID, 27 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Amazon is betting on the local hiring of technology specialists and currently has more than 500 open vacancies in engineering, software development, machine learning experts or solutions architects for its Amazon Web Services division, although it offers more than 400 roles in Spain, currently open to all types of profiles, educational levels and experience, as reported by the multinational in a statement.

Specifically, the expansion of the multinational workforce to 20,000 workers will take place in all divisions and business areas, from its operations, data or research centers, through its corporate offices, and also including Marketplace, AWS, Prime Video or Amazon Music.

The multinational announced a few weeks ago the creation of 2,000 new permanent jobs throughout this year in Spain, which will allow it to close 2022 with a total workforce of 20,000 permanent employees.

In this way, the company launched the ‘Seas como Seas’ initiative, focused on analyzing the different types of personality and their connection with the company’s extensive work universe, which has been attended by more than 11,000 people, interested in discovering more about your personal traits and your professional fit within Amazon.

“At Amazon we have our doors open and offer a wide range of opportunities and roles for all kinds of people. At the company we are committed to talent in all its breadth: regardless of the level of education, personal situation, aspirations or years of experience, at Amazon we give the opportunities, support and tools so that each person can grow and develop professionally”, said the director of Amazon Customer Fulfillment in Spain, France and Italy, Fred Pattje.

The participants have been able to take an ‘online’ personality test at ‘www.seascomoseas.com’ to find out their qualities. With the result, they have not only discovered which type of personality they belonged to from the 16 categories established by the Myers-Briggs system, but they have also been able to access the wide range of roles that best suit their personality within the options that offers Amazon.

In this way, the analysis of the results shows that the Spaniards identify themselves, in the first place, with the personality ‘Inspector’, with 12% of the total registrations, followed by those of ‘Champion’ and ‘Protagonist’, with the 10% and 9.15%, respectively.

This project began in Madrid, with an experiential event in Callao, and since the end of June, many citizens from all over Spain have joined the initiative, which continues to receive registrations to this day.

Thus, Catalonia, Andalusia and Valencia are the regions in which the campaign has generated the most expectations, with close to 70% of the total participation.
