Avanade, the ‘joint venture’ of Accenture and Microsoft for the provision of digital services, has acquired the Spanish company Kabel, a specialist in digital transformation and in the application of company solutions directed by Satya Nadella.

The operation represents the fifth acquisition made by the ‘joint venture’ in Europe in the last three years. With this transaction, Avanade has strengthened its capabilities in multicloud, artificial intelligence and application development in Spain and Europe, according to a statement. In addition, the purchase will entail the incorporation of almost 300 Kabel professionals to the buyer’s team.

“Kabel has earned a solid reputation as a transformation ‘partner’ that can design innovative solutions of great complexity and efficiency”, highlighted the general director of Avanade Iberia, Silvia Vidal.

For his part, the CEO of Kabel, José Ramón Barriocanal, highlighted Kabel’s growth in the last three years and the improvement in its offer that will occur with its integration into Avanade.

“Accenture will allow us to take on even more complex projects and offer our clients a broader range of technologies and solutions,” said Kabel’s founder and president, Alfredo Rivela.
