FC Barcelona would have presented a written transfer offer of 32 million euros for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, the ‘Bild am Sontag’ reported this Sunday.
Lewandowski, twice voted best footballer of the year by FIFA, has already announced that he will not renew his contract with Bayern when it expires in 2023. However, the Bavarian team insists that they will not let him go until the contract expires next year. .
Next summer, Lewandowski could leave for nothing, so if Bayern want to transfer him for financial gain, the time is now. Although FC Barcelona itself is going through financial difficulties, Xavi Hernández has confirmed his interest in the 33-year-old Polish international.
“It is one of the options, of the possibilities. He has said it himself, that he wants to leave. There are some negotiations involved, he has a contract. It will not be easy to negotiate being Bayern, but it is one of the options, yes”, declared at a press conference about the forward of the Bavarian team.
