Boost VC, Draper Associates, and Thesis* have come together to launch the BitcoinFi Accelerator, an exclusive program aimed at supporting the next generation of decentralized applications (dApps) and solutions built on Bitcoin. This six-week accelerator program is designed to nurture and accelerate pre-seed teams working on groundbreaking projects in Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Social Finance (SocialFi), and Infrastructure. Applications for the program are now open, with each selected project receiving $150K in starting funding.

The BitcoinFi Accelerator aims to address the longstanding issue of underfunding in the Bitcoin developer community. By providing access to capital, expert mentorship, technical resources, and networking opportunities, the program seeks to empower innovators to scale their projects and contribute to the growth of the full-stack Bitcoin ecosystem. Up to 20 teams will be chosen to participate in the program, receiving both seed funding and the chance to engage directly with Bitcoin’s vast economic potential.

Matt Luongo, CEO of Thesis*, expressed excitement about the launch of the BitcoinFi Accelerator, highlighting the program’s significance in providing much-needed resources to Bitcoin projects. He emphasized the importance of developing technology that can effectively utilize Bitcoin in real-world applications, and the accelerator’s role in supporting the community of developers working towards this goal.

The BitcoinFi Accelerator is focused on driving innovation in key areas such as decentralized exchanges, lending platforms, and community-driven social networks. By leveraging Bitcoin’s economic value and scalability, participating teams will have the opportunity to refine their products and strategies with the guidance of experienced mentors. Additionally, they will be able to secure follow-on funding from a network of prominent investors and industry leaders, setting them up for long-term success.

Tim Draper, founder of Draper Associates, highlighted the transformative potential of the accelerator program, emphasizing Bitcoin’s role as a platform for real-world solutions. He expressed optimism about the innovative projects that will emerge from the program and the potential of Bitcoin as both a global currency and a technology stack.

Adam Draper, Founder and Managing Director of Boost VC, underscored the significance of the BitcoinFi Accelerator in expanding the BitcoinFi ecosystem and fostering innovation. He emphasized Boost VC’s commitment to supporting deep tech companies and its partnership with Thesis* and Draper Associates to drive innovation in the Bitcoin space.

Applications for the BitcoinFi Accelerator are now open, with selected teams set to participate in the intensive six-week program starting in November. Throughout the program, teams will work closely with mentors to refine their products and strategies, culminating in a final showcase event where they will present their innovations to a global audience of investors and influencers.

In conclusion, the BitcoinFi Accelerator represents a significant opportunity for Bitcoin developers to access funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities to accelerate the growth of the Bitcoin ecosystem. With a focus on innovation in DeFi, SocialFi, and Infrastructure, the program aims to support the next generation of dApps and solutions built on Bitcoin, driving forward the adoption and utility of the world’s leading cryptocurrency.
