MADRID, 20 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has apologized this Friday to the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, for the “snub” and the “impoliteness” of the Catalan president, Pere Aragonès, to the anthem during the Spanish-French summit, to the time that has censured that this behavior has been “accepted” by the Spanish Government.

“I would like us to return once again to serious politics, to the recognition of the institutions and that when a president or a prime minister comes to Catalonia, the correct and courteous thing to do is to decide with cordiality, friendship and decorum”, Feijóo declared, to influence in which everything has happened with the “go-ahead” of the Executive of Pedro Sánchez.

Likewise, the leader of the PP has expressed his party’s support for the demonstration that more than a hundred associations have called this Saturday against Sánchez’s policies, but has indicated that it is a call “that should not patrimonialize” the political formations. In addition, he has added that, in his opinion, it is logical that all the parties that believe in the Constitution and democracy should be represented.

In line with that mobilization, Feijóo has criticized Sánchez’s words, comparing the pro-independence protest in Barcelona with the demonstration this Saturday against his government. Thus, he has said that saying that a pro-independence demonstration is the same as a constitutionalist demonstration shows that “the head of the Executive lives in a world that most Spaniards seem dreamlike to us”, he has transferred.

The PP president made these statements during his visit to Fitur, where he met several of its regional presidents, such as Isabel Díaz Ayuso from Madrid and Fernando López Miras from Murcia. There he has announced that his party will propose to the Government a national interrail so that Spaniards and, especially young people, have a flat rate to travel throughout Spain using the country’s trains.
