MADRID, 27 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has set himself up this Wednesday as an alternative to the “bad government” of Pedro Sánchez and has denounced that the “sanchista” party has turned politics into a “theater” because first he “insults” his party but then he asks for support. “Don’t count on me”, he has proclaimed.
This is how he pronounced himself before his deputies, senators and MEPs in the Senate chamber, a meeting of the plenary of the Popular Group to set the “priorities of this new stage” that takes place two days after he has taken possession of his seat in the Senate, where he has also installed his office as head of the opposition
Feijóó has asked his party “to be better than the others” in “substance and form”, as well as to publicize the project of the PP for Spain with “different ideas, proposals and styles”. In addition, he has opted for “honest confrontation” because, as he has said, he does not believe “in the policy of insults or trenches.”
“The sanchista party asks us for support as the main opposition party but then they don’t miss the opportunity to insult us. They say they want to talk to the PP, but then they agree everything with the independentistas. At what point did politics become this theater? ? “And do we really have to participate in this theater? With me they do not count “, he assured.
In addition, Feijóo has assured that he “rebels” against “contempt for the constitutional order and the autonomous State”, whose “co-governance is proclaimed but not practiced”, as well as against “populist discredit” in the heat of “waves of indignation” .
“I am always going to contribute to the prestige of the institutions”, he guaranteed, to underline that he is also “rebeling” against the “servility of the Sanchista party that is shamelessly sacrificing the interests of all in favor of the interests of those who want to fracture what It belongs to everyone.”
