PONTEVEDRA, 22 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has indicated that he does not see “reasonable” that the King Emeritus continues to be questioned and has defended that he visit Spain “when he considers it appropriate”, according to “his rights and freedoms”.
This was stated this Sunday by Feijóo upon his arrival at the Pontevedra Congress Palace, where the congress that will ratify Alfonso Rueda as leader of the Galician PP is being held.
“It is a pity that we waste time on this,” the popular leader asserted about the criticism of the King Emeritus’s visit to Spain, specifically to the Pontevedra municipality of Sanxenxo.
In this sense, the president of the PP has stressed that the emeritus is a “citizen who does not have any pending case with the Justice” and, in addition, has served as King for decades.
Thus, he has reiterated that “the figure of Juan Carlos I and the visit to his country are being used to question the head of state.” “It is evident that we are facing business as usual, after 40 years it is good enough to question the Constitution of our country,” he has disfigured.
“The King is going to come to Spain when he deems it appropriate, and if he comes to Galicia we only have to welcome him and be a land of welcome as we have always been”, concluded Feijóo.
