MADRID, 26 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has described as “disappointing” the appearance of the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez, in the plenary session of Congress to report on the espionage through the Pegasus software, explanations that, in his opinion, have been focused on “apologizing” to the independentistas”.
“You cannot live on your knees every day. The President of the Government of Spain cannot apologize for the legal and motivated operation of the Intelligence Services,” Feijóo proclaimed after visiting a wine cooperative in Villarobledo (Albacete), accompanied by the deputy secretary of Social Policies, Carmen Navarro, and the president of the PP of Castilla-La Mancha, Paco Núñez.
Feijóo has stated that he had heard Sánchez’s explanations on the radio and that the first part seemed like an opposition deputy who was making the speech of “a motion of censure against the Government from four years ago”.
In addition, he pointed out that the second part of Sánchez’s speech was not to explain “the mess” that has been set up with the National Intelligence Center (CNI) and why Paz Esteban has been fired, but rather to “try to rebuild his alliances with the independentistas ” and “to apologize to them for why” the Intelligence Services “had intercepted their communications, following the instructions of the Prime Minister himself”.
