The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has summoned the President of the Government to “renounce” the reform of the crime of sedition and has asked him for clarification about who that “Mr. X” of the PSOE who visited the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont . In her reply, Pedro Sánchez has blamed the PP for its “denier” opposition and has blurted out: “Enough is enough, comply with the Constitution.”
This crossing of mutual reproaches in the control session of the plenary session of Congress between the head of the Executive and the ‘number two’ of Alberto Núñez Feijóo has occurred six days after the PP’s announcement to suspend negotiations to renew the CGPJ and the Court Constitutional.
Gamarra has affirmed that his pacts with the independentistas “disable him from seeking the general interest” because he has “too many mortgages with those who despise coexistence among all”. In fact, he has stressed that whenever Sánchez has had the opportunity to choose, he has opted for “populism, radicalism and independence.”
That said, he has asked to know who “that new Mr. X of the PSOE” is who went to see Puigdemomt to “negotiate the Penal Code tailored to the coup plotters” because, in his opinion, that person “did it following orders” of the President of the Government.
For his part, Sánchez has accused the PP of dedicating itself to distributing “Spanishness and constitutionalism cards” and has highlighted that when Spain ruled the country was “close to being able to break.” In addition, he has criticized the fact that the first opposition party believes that there is only one “legitimate government” when it is from his party. “Enough already, comply with the Constitution.”
