MADRID, 24 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The general secretary of the PP and spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, Cuca Gamarra, has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court to admit the appeals against the pardons of the ‘procés’ and that she sees a “further step in the recognition that the acts of the Government do have control of legality”.
“Sánchez is not outside the law and the Supreme Court will analyze whether the pardons for those convicted of sedition and embezzlement were legal,” Gamarra said in a message on his official Twitter account, which has been collected by Europa Press.
According to the ‘number two’ of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the high court “takes another step in recognizing that the acts of the government do have control of legality.”
Specifically, the TS has corrected its initial decision to reject the appeals filed against the pardons of the ‘procés’, because it considered that the appellants -among them PP, Vox and Ciudadanos- were not empowered to take this legal action due to lack of a legitimate interest, and has decided to admit them now for processing, which implies that it will study them to rule on the merits of the matter.
