MADRID, 2 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, has claimed this Friday the need for “quality” laws to be made and has referred to the ‘Law of only yes is yes’, although without naming it.

During his speech at the 1st OKdiario Economic and Business Forum, Garamendi criticized the fact that there are “a lot of criminals out there” for having made a law “quickly and badly”.

“Since you want to appear in tomorrow’s newspaper, well, it is done quickly and badly. Let’s do the rules well,” stressed the business leader, who recalled that the purpose of the ‘only yes is yes’ law was something else.

The president of the CEOE has stressed that he not only “misses” quality in regulations, but also “legal security”, regulatory stability and political stability, since they are key factors for a country’s economy to function.

“It is very difficult to move in the economic field if the rules change every day, with taxes on demand and rules on demand. In the energy and climate plan for 2030 we have to invest 300,000 million euros in Spain and they have to invest it private companies. Is someone going to invest something without regulatory stability? There is already some escrow that has been left empty,” he denounced.

The business leader has acknowledged that he “misses” consensus between the two main parties, above all, on the “big issues” that affect the country, while he has defended the unity of Spain, the Constitution and the Crown.

“We have been with the Spanish Constitution for 45 years and it is curious that in the 21st century the representative of businessmen has to speak about the Constitution. And I make a special defense and thanks to the Crown, which is the vault of constitutional architecture. To me I have to talk about everything, but I don’t talk about this,” he warned.
