Isabel Rodríguez says that they are seeing how each of the measures are going and that adjustments will be made if necessary
MADRID, 6 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Government spokesperson and Minister of Territorial Policy, Isabel Rodríguez, has reported that after having shared contacts with the Popular Party in view of the extension of the anti-crisis decree to mitigate the economic effects of the war in Ukraine, they have not reached agreements with the ‘popular’, whom he has demanded “coherence”.
“The truth is that contacts were shared, but in the end we have not been able to reach any great agreement,” the minister pointed out in an interview on TVE, collected by Europa Press, in which she assured that they “always” have an outstretched hand and that they are going to try to reach an agreement with the PP.
In this sense, he has challenged Feijóo to support the decree if “he really wants to be something other than Casado”. “We are waiting for them to stop preaching to give wheat and for that change to be seen in concrete actions that mean a change of direction in the main opposition party,” he assured.
On the readjustment of some measures of the decree -in force until June 30-, Rodríguez has assured that the spirit is “identical” and goes through “cushioning the cost and damage caused by Putin’s war.” “It is about updating them in case some adjustments are necessary, in case there is a need to expand on any issue and, ultimately, give the appropriate response”, he added.
The minister has emphasized that there are still 25 days left and they are seeing how each of the measures is going, as well as the evolution of the war and the decisions of the European Union. Thus, she has asserted that at the time it has to be updated, they will offer solutions that reach a majority. “That will be what we continue to do in this difficult situation that we do not hide from anyone,” she pointed out.
