So can norwegians save 4,25 billion in interest expenses
Finally have my 11-year-old daughter started school after two months of hjemmeskole.
Two months of measures taken, distance, and little motivation, play and learning, and she has at times been depressed, tired, and characterized by an insulating sheet.
It has been written much about what a closed society does with the most vulnerable kids around us, and I have many a time known it tie itself in my stomach when I thought of the children in Norway who are stuck in the home with adults who are not good caregivers.
What two months do with a child who can not be seen and confirmed by safe adults outside the home.
Open to break with the government
in Parallel with the hjemmeskole we have worked intensively with our action for the evacuation of the Greek camps, and the campaign has uncovered a vast folkeengasjement for Norway to be one of the countries that contribute to the evacuation of Moria and the other camps on the Greek islands.
After five months of countless actions, petitions, op-eds and interviews, fall soon as the decision in Parliament on whether we should accept some of the most vulnerable from the refugee camps in Greece.
on Tuesday 26 may.
Who are we? We help or not?
I don’t know how many times I have talked about the miserable conditions in the Tale, which is the camp I know the best.
I don’t know how many times I have listed the reasons that these people also is Norway’s responsibility.
I don’t know how many times I have written to my friends that live in Moria that I am ashamed of my country that is arguing whether we should help someone get or no, when they ask me if it is possible to come to Norway.

But now I have no more words, they are not strong enough, they don’t carry far enough.
if two months of closed societies can trigger such strong concerns for the most vulnerable children in the Uk, how should we actually traded above the 7500 children in Moria? That does not go to school, do not have a bed to sleep in, and that settles each night in bad tents with parents who are under a tremendous mental pressure? Above those of the children who are completely alone?
What with these kids during the european starry sky?
In a camp overflowing with trash, sewage, rats and snakes, in the middle of a childhood that is lost in the hold, hold, hold. Where a virus outbreak will be a humanitarian disaster, and every single human being is treated as a problem of Europe.
As a mom and as a human being, I ask now my politicians fervently to be fellow human beings.
don’t give us more “we are waiting for a common european solution”
don’t give us more “we can’t help everyone”
don’t give us more rationalizations, political crude horse-trading, complicating the narrative and unnaluringer.
It is now it comes.
It is now we shall decide who we are, what the next generation can learn in school that Norway chose to do in the face of the inhumane camps in Greece.
We are not going to help because a political party to accommodate another party, or because it is strategically wise for positioning in european cooperation – we will help because the people in the camps need the help now.
They are about to lose hope and they are about to lose their own sense of human dignity.
I’m starting to lose hope that Norway continues the humanitarian values I thought my country was built on.
on Tuesday, may 26, I have so wanted to tell my daughter at the bedside, that Norway should take some of these children. They will come here, they should get to go to school, they will get to sleep in a bed and to get much needed care.
she has asked me so many times why we don’t help, especially when she herself got to know about the consequences of a crisis.
I have not managed to give her an answer that she has settled down with, now, it is you politicians that can help me with it.
