According to the new study “Decoding Global Talent”, the Canada is now the most attractive in the world in terms of occupational mobility.
The global pandemic slows down, logically, the international mobility and the desires of elsewhere. But it is not forbidden to dream about tomorrows. If you were to consider, in a few months, a departure, or an evolution of working abroad, what would be your dream destination ? This is one of the questions that was asked to 208 807 people from 190 countries, including more than 5,300 in France, in the framework of the third edition of the study “Decoding Global Talent”, conducted by the Boston Consulting Group and Cadremploi. Answer : Canada is ahead of the United States, Australia, Germany and the United kingdom.
The Covid-19 redistributes the cards
Nothing revolutionary in and of itself because these five countries were placed at the top of this same survey published two years ago. The biggest change, however, is that the United States have lost their first position, for the benefit of their cousin to the North, Canada. Australia has taken the place of Germany on the podium. The Effect Covid-19 ? Without a doubt. Canada, with 2 309 cases of infections per 100 000 inhabitants* (and 1 591 in the single British Columbia, champion of the great provinces) is much less impacted than France (5 929) or the United States (8 688), for example, but much more than in Australia (113,75), or Japan (343,89), sixth in the standings after a jump significant of the four squares.

The appeal for Canada is unwavering, therefore, not including the French who, according to this report, yearn to settle more particularly in French-speaking countries. This is great, a country with two official languages, Canada needs to step up its immigration policy in the coming three years and aims to strengthen the presence of francophones in the English-speaking provinces, through a specific program called Mobility Francophone. A procedure that is continuing despite the coronavirus and reinforces the attractiveness of Canada.
