MADRID, 24 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The authorities of the Ukrainian region of Kharkov have warned on Tuesday that the Russian Army is preparing to launch a new offensive in the territory, located in eastern Ukraine, north of Donbas.

Thus, the governor of Kharkov, Oleg Sinegubov, has pointed out that “the Russian invaders in the region are now focused on maintaining their positions, but they are preparing to resume the offensive,” according to the Ukrainian agency UNIAN.

However, despite considering that the Russian troops are protecting their current positions, Sinegubov has also acknowledged several attacks in various parts of the region that, on this day, have left one dead and three wounded.

“The occupants, although pushed back directly from Kharkiv, continue to bombard the center of the region and the civilian population,” Governor Sinegubov lamented.

Specifically, one of these attacks has been recorded in the town of Merefa, where Russia has launched three missiles, two of which have been intercepted. However, the third party in question has reached a train station that has been partially destroyed, although without victims.

The only confirmed death this Tuesday has occurred in the community of Dergachev, where, due to a projectile, a 69-year-old woman has died and three others have been injured.
