The Assembly of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) approved this Monday the calendar for the 2022-2023 football season, marked by the winter dispute of the Qatar World Cup and with LaLiga Santander starting on August 14 and concluding on June 4 .

As reported by the RFEF, both LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank will start in mid-August, with the First Division finishing later than usual, since it will stop between November 9 and December 29 due to the World Cup, which It will be in Qatar between November 21 and December 19.

In addition, another important date will be Saturday, April 29, chosen for the celebration of the Copa del Rey final, while the Spanish Super Cup will take place from January 11 to 15 in Saudi Arabia between Real Madrid, Betis, FC Barcelona and Valencia. These four will be exempt from the first round of the ‘k.o’ tournament which will take place on November 13.

LaLiga SmartBank 2022-2023 will start on August 14 and will end in its Regular Phase on May 28, with the promotion playoff taking place between June 4 and 18.
