MADRID, 22 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The national football coach, Luis Enrique Martínez, will offer this Monday the list of summoned for the first four games of the group stage of the League of Nations that will be played in eleven days in June and with some uncertainties to reveal by the physical condition of some players or if he will call Ansu Fati again.

One day after LaLiga Santander 2021-2022 concludes, the Asturian coach will announce the ones chosen for the marathon of matches that the ‘Roja’ will have between June 2 and 10, two at home and two away.

Spain will begin their journey in a competition in which they are the current runner-up on Thursday the 2nd at the Benito Villamarín in Seville against Portugal, and later they will travel to Prague to play against the Czech Republic on Sunday the 5th.

The three-time European champion will also play her third game of the League of Nations away, against Switzerland in Geneva on Thursday June 9, and will close this first half at La Rosaleda in Malaga on Sunday the 12th against the Czech team. The concentration for the dispute of these four matches will begin on Monday, May 30 at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas from 1:30 p.m.

And for this little ‘marathon’ that will also serve to start fine-tuning the set-up for the Qatar World Cup at the end of the year, Luis Enrique could clear up some of the doubts he may have, although no major developments are foreseen.

In this sense, the one from Gijón must decide if he calls Pedri González, Ansu Fati and Eric García. The Canarian is in the final stretch of his muscle injury that has caused him to miss the final stretch of the season, while the Spanish-Guinean striker has just reappeared from his latest physical problem and perhaps it could still be too soon for him to return, although the coach surely has him in his plans. The centre-back is recovering from a thumb injury and if he is not summoned he would open up a possibility in the center of defence.

Another doubt will be on the left side where Luis Enrique will have to decide again between Jordi Alba, Marcos Alonso and José Luis Gayà. The one from Valencia was not due to injury in March, but he beat the one from Chelsea for the decisive matches in November and Luis Enrique already warned that it had been one of the most complicated decisions.

Above, the doubts are in the presence, above all, of Gerard Moreno, who has ended the campaign with physical problems, while it also remains to be seen if the Spaniard also has another ‘headdress’ at Villarreal such as Yéremi Pino.

As for the returns, captain Sergio Busquets will return to the list, whom Luis Enrique decided to rest for the last friendlies against Albania and Iceland, and central defender Íñigo Martínez could also return, while the one from Gijón will also have to take into account Real Madrid still has to play the Champions League final next Saturday, although only full-back Dani Carvajal has recently entered their plans.

Luis Enrique will provide the squad list as usual through the national team’s official media starting at 11:45 a.m. and it will be from 12:30 p.m. when he appears before the media at the Ciudad del Fútbol.
