Morpheus AI Project Launches on Mainnet – Decentralized AI Technology

Morpheus, a new blockchain project aiming to decentralize artificial intelligence, has officially launched on the mainnet. The team made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this week. The goal of Morpheus, like other decentralized AI networks, is to address issues such as centralization, censorship, and monopolistic control of data that can arise with traditional AI systems.

In addition to Morpheus, there are other projects in the decentralized AI space, including Bittensor, dAIOS, and Boltzmann Network. Morpheus has recently joined the Decentralized AI Society, a trade group focused on challenging the dominance of tech giants in the AI sector.

Built on the codebase for Lumerin, Morpheus operates on the Arbitrum blockchain, which is a layer-2 solution built on top of Ethereum. The project initially went live on a public testnet in July to simulate and experiment with its functionality.

One of the key features of Morpheus is the promise of personal AIs, or “smart agents,” that can provide individuals with the ability to interact with Web3 wallets, DApps, and smart contracts. These agents are designed to empower users in a way similar to how personal computers and search engines did in the past.

Overall, the launch of Morpheus on the mainnet marks an important milestone in the efforts to decentralize artificial intelligence. With the potential to revolutionize how AI is utilized and controlled, projects like Morpheus are paving the way for a more open and accessible AI ecosystem.
