On-chain investigator ZachXBT recently revealed that Martin Shkreli, also known as “Pharma Bro,” is the mastermind behind the creation of TrumpCoin (DJT), a new Solana-based meme coin. Shkreli, who has a controversial past that includes serving time in prison for securities fraud, claims that he did not act alone in developing the coin and has implicated former U.S. President Donald Trump’s 18-year-old son, Barron Trump, in the project.

Screenshots shared by ZachXBT show Shkreli alleging that Barron Trump holds the keys to the token’s contract, indicating his involvement in the meme coin’s deployment. Shkreli has stated that he possesses over “1,000 pieces of evidence” to support his claims about Barron Trump’s participation in the project. Furthermore, Shkreli has suggested that Donald Trump himself approved the creation of TrumpCoin and that discussions have taken place regarding listing the coin on the Kraken crypto exchange.

Despite the controversy surrounding DJT, the meme coin has experienced a 29% surge in value over the past 24 hours, currently trading at $0.015 with a market cap of $165 million and a daily trading volume of $9 million. However, some investors are concerned about the coin’s price volatility, as it plummeted from its all-time high of $0.038 on June 18.

As of now, there have been no official statements from Donald Trump regarding the launch of TrumpCoin. The unfolding saga of DJT and its alleged creators has captured the attention of the crypto community, shedding light on the intersection of politics, celebrity, and meme culture in the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrency.
