MADRID, 4 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Sociedad footballer Mikel Oyarzabal, who suffered a serious knee injury last March, has returned to exercise, partially, with the rest of his teammates this Tuesday, as part of his recovery process, as reported by the club.
“Mikel Oyarzabal is gradually advancing in his recovery. For the first time, he has exercised with the rest of his teammates,” reported Real about the ‘txuri-urdin’ captain, who carried out “a few exercises” with the group, and then continued with “his individual work”.
The Basque team acknowledged feeling “joy” to see Oyarzabal again “start training with the whole team.” “Little by little, step by step. There is still more, but less and less. What a joy,” the club said in a statement.
The Real Sociedad striker suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament on March 17, a serious knee injury that made him undergo surgery. The player hurt his joint during morning training in Zubieta and medical tests confirmed the worst predictions.
Almost seven months later, Oyarzabal returns to work with his teammates, with his participation in the World Cup in the air, with only one month and 19 days remaining for Spain’s debut in the tournament.
