MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Education and Spokesperson for the PSOE, Pilar Alegría, announced today that the Government and the PP are in the “final part” of the negotiation to renew the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and that it is “the most complex” .
This was stated today during a press conference at the socialist headquarters on Ferraz Street, where he did not want to assess the proposal of United We Can that Victoria Rosell be part of the governing body of the judges, nor if this approach of United We Can make the agreement difficult.
“The importance of the CPGJ is that the renewal becomes effective, we have already exceeded 4 years”, exclaimed Pilar Alegría who has apologized for being “repetitive” in this matter. “I anticipate that we are in the final part of the negotiation and therefore, the most complex”, she has limited herself to saying.
The Socialist Spokesperson has made it clear that she was going to continue making use of the “prudence and discretion” that she has displayed on this matter, increasing them even to a “greater degree”, considering that “they are essential to make effective what is indispensable which is the renewal of the CPGJ and recover normality in the judiciary”.
Given the insistence of the journalists on this issue, the minister has made it clear that she was not going to provide any information: “Any question that makes the renewal difficult will not come out of my mouth.”
