MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has demanded this Monday the appearance in Congress of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to explain his “personal commitments with the fugitives on whom he depends”, after the declarations of the former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont . In addition, she has extended that request for explanations to the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop, and the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños.

The Popular Group has requested these clarifications in the parliamentary headquarters after Puigdemont has assured that, during the five years he has been living in Belgium, he has received visits from members of the PSOE on several occasions to generate “expectations of good treatment, via reform of the criminal code and a pardon as long as he agreed to appear before the Supreme Court”.

“His commitments are personal with the fugitives on whom he depends. And the Spanish must know them,” said Gamarra in a message on his official Twitter account, which has been collected by Europa Press.

For this reason, he has assured that the PP requests the appearance of the Chief Executive, Pedro Sánchez, the Minister of Justice and the head of the Presidency. He has also stressed that “the Spanish, including PSOE voters, reject the reform” of the crime of sedition “but Sánchez does not care.”

At a press conference at the PP headquarters, the general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, has already asked Pedro Sánchez this morning to explain what Carles Puigdemont is talking about when he says “that people from the PSOE have offered him a good deal via reform of the penal code and a pardon” and that “Sánchez knows what he is talking about”.
