BURGOS, 16 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, responded on Tuesday to criticism for the delay in sending weapons to Ukraine to ensure that it “is very grateful” for Spain’s humanitarian collaboration and its shipments of material.
During a visit to the San Marcial Division of the Army in Burgos, Robles stressed that the Ukrainian ambassador, Serhii Pohoreltsev, conveyed his “maximum gratitude” ten days ago for the relationship that Spain has maintained with his country since the Russian invasion.
“Spain is with Ukraine”, the minister asserted before insisting that collaboration with this country is “constant”, although she maintained that “it is reasonable” that in a country at war, it is better “the less information given of shipments”.
Margarita Robles has also predicted a “difficult and complicated winter” in which Russia will use power cuts against the entire international community. “We have to be very united”, she has concluded.
